DeLoa's Boomerangs

How Fun!!! Don't throw these around though. These rulers are for curved crosshatching. I love the look of curved crosshatching but I didn't have a ruler that had different increments so I could do it 1/2" or larger apart. These rulers have increments of 1/4" up to 1 1/4" so you can have a choice of how far apart you want your lines.

They also have the increments from the concave as well as convex curves for easier handling of the rulers next to the machines. These rulers have different curves for how curvy you may want to be. They are based on a 12", 15", and 20" circles.

These mini boomerangs are a great addition to my collection of guides. I have found many uses for them as I keep playing with them. They all have many features that the bigger boomerangs have. The outer curve is the same as the inner curve. The curves are based on that size circle. So the 6" boomerang is based on a 6" circle and all the other ones are made likewise. All of the markings are 1/4" apart so the crosshatching can be different widths and each marking is the same curve as the outer curves. In other words the markings are not concentric and get smaller they are the exact curve so you can easily line up your marks for the next curve.
The smaller ones have a more drastic curve than the bigger ones. This allows very dramatic curved crosshatching in smaller areas where a slighter curve would not be as noticeable.
The smaller ones are also great for continuous curve. Remember the outer curve is the same as the inner curve that way as I go around a block I have both sides to work off of. I don't ever have to cross my arms as I am working because I can turn the guide. For those of you that want all your curves to match this is a great tool.
